The Murray Sandwich Shop was located at 2203 Murray Ave. It opened as early as 1928 and closed by 1931, when the location became the Volensky Grill and Delicatessen. Advertisements list “fresh and smoked meats, salads, sandwiches and drinks,” as well as “toasted wieners.” The proprietor may have been Milton Rubin of 1117 Chislett St. Rubin was the nephew of Manuel Volensky.
