Ahovy Sholem Lubovitsh Congregation was chartered in 1917 by former members of Anshe Lebovitz Congregation. Ahovy Sholem Lubovitsh was incorporated in June 1917 with the following members: Jacob Farber, Henry Horvitz, Abraham Jacob, Bear Krause, Solomon Klein, Solomon Lessing, Ephraim Lifschitz, Abraham Mintz, Solomon Oklin, David Solomon Shapiro, L. Shneier, and Rabbi M. S. Sivitz. Several of these men had been associated with the short-lived Congregation Habad the previous year. Following a series of meetings, Ahovy Sholem Lubovitsh rejoined Anshe Lebovitz in 1927.
