Rauh Jewish Archives at the Heinz History Center

The North Hills Jewish Community Center was founded in 1968 by Jewish families living in the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh. The group met in private homes until the late 1970s, when they acquired and renovated a former church on Duncan Avenue. The congregation changed its name to Temple Ohav Shalom in the early 1980s and relocated to the former North Hills Racquet Club in the late 1990s.
