In the late 1970s, the United Jewish Federation funded a Sunday Funday program for Jewish communities northeast of Pittsburgh. Congregations from Aliquippa, Pa., Ellwood City, Pa., Weirton, WV and Steubenville, Ohio, met at the Beaver Valley United Jewish Community Center.
