Congregation Ohave Israel in Brownsville, Pa. built its second synagogue in 1919, three years after its first synagogue was destroyed in a fire. The congregation disbanded in 1969 and sold the synagogue in 1979. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.
