Miriam Gerson (seated center) came to Pittsburgh from her native Poland in the early years of the twentieth century. Her sons Harry (seated far right) and Sam Gerson (standing far right) owned Gerson Brothers, a dry cleaning and alterations shop on East Carson Street.
