A group of Jewish families living in towns throughout the Beaver Valley area formed Tree of Life Congregation in Rochester, Pa. in 1922 and built a synagogue at New York Avenue and Pinney Street in 1928. The synagogue was sold in 1973, when the congregation dissolved and the members joined a nearby community center in Beaver Falls, Pa.
