Before his death in 1882, Raphael Steinfeld arranged for a Jewish cemetery to be created in New Brighton, Pa. A group from Beaver Falls led by Louis Zeiden and Morris Flam led an effort in the late 1980s to restore the Steinfeld (or Tree of Life) Cemetery in New Brighton, Pa. Working with the United Jewish Federation, the group cleaned up the lots and erected a monument.
