Rabbi Morris Moskowitz was born, ordained and married in Hungary and served in the Hungarian Army in World War I. He and his wife Lena Martin Moskowitz immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1921. He served several congregations throughout western Pennsylvania as either a teacher or rabbi before coming to Duquesne in 1935. He stayed with Congregation Beth Jacob for more than 25 years, until he retired.
