Rabbi Gilbert Albert Elefant (back row, far left) was the first rabbi of Ohav Sholom Congregation in Donora. He left the congregation in 1939 to take a position at Tifereth Israel Congregation in New Castle, where he stayed until 1944. He is seen here with his wife, Helen, and their children.
