Exodus campaign appeal

Operation Exodus was a special fundraising campaign to support the resettlement of Jewish immigrants from the Soviet Union who had come to the Pittsburgh area. The local $15 million Exodus Campaign began in early 1990 as an outgrowth of a large campaign by the same name organized by the national United Jewish Appeal. The first phase of the Exodus ’90 campaign culminated in a large Chanukah party at the David L. Lawrence convention center.[1]“Help Light the Flame” program (catalog record).
