Jewish Education Institute

The Jewish Education Institute was a centralized Jewish education agency in Pittsburgh.

The United Jewish Federation formed the Joint Central Agency Task Force in the late 1980s to develop a coordinating body for Jewish education in Pittsburgh. The Jewish Education Institute was created in 1991 through the merger of the Hebrew Institute, the School of Advanced Jewish Studies, and Community Day School. The Jewish Education Institute was succeeded in the early 2000s by the Agency for Jewish Learning.

JEI presidents included Chuck Perlow (1990-1995), Amy Weiss (1996-1998), Jan Levinson (1998-2000), Nancy Zionst (2000-2002), and Rachel Kalnicki (2002-2004).
