Emanuel Spector Memorial Award

The Emanuel Spector Memorial Award is the highest volunteer award given by the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh. The award was created in 1954 to honor the memory of Emanuel Spector, a Fifth Avenue wholesaler who played an important role in the development and growth of the United Jewish Fund.[1]Lidji, Eric, “Who Was Emanuel Spector?” Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle, Feb. 9, 2022 (online—Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle).

The following list of Emanuel Spector Memorial Award nominees was compiled from newspaper accounts and several archival collections. It lists links to biographical essays, when available.
