Dairy Planet was a kosher restaurant located in downtown Pittsburgh. The restaurant opened at 411 Smithfield Street on the first floor of the Chamber of Commerce building in 1987 as a Pittsburgh version of a New York establishment by the same name.
Both the New York and the Pittsburgh restaurants were owned by Naftalie Feldman, whose son had come to Pittsburgh to attend Yeshiva Achei T’mimim. Rabbi Eli Rothman managed the Pittsburgh location, and Chef William Saunders oversaw the kitchen.
