After Tree of Life membership requested some additional considerations to a proposed merger with Temple Israel, the congregation held a second meeting to vote on a merger. As seen in these meeting minutes, one group felt that the proposal had too many unresolved issues while the other wanted to “merge now — settle later.” The merger failed by a two-vote margin.
