As part of its consideration of a proposed merger with Tifereth Israel, Temple Israel surveyed its membership on issues of importance to the congregation. According to the survey, the questions of patrilineal descent and mixed marriages were considered to be the most difficult challenges facing a merger, with the maintenance of a kosher kitchen also a concern.
