This annual report details an “unusually difficult” year in the history of House of Israel Congregation in Sharon. The community lost both its rabbi and its kosher butcher, and efforts to replace the two men proved challenging. A budget deficit forced the congregation to increase dues. In addition, problems with a faulty heating system at the synagogue “became more pronounced.”
