Congregation Tree of Life in Ellwood City, Pa., completed its new synagogue in the early 1950s but only dedicated the sanctuary in 1960. The fundraising for the sanctuary was largely the responsibly of the Jewish Women’s League, with some help from the local B’nai B’rith lodge.
