Rabbi Iwan Gruen joined Temple Israel when the congregation was in its 20th year, allowing the rabbi and his congregation to celebrate milestone anniversaries in tandem. When Temple Israel turned 30, Rabbi Gruen completed his tenth year with the congregation. Rabbi Aaron Ilson of Temple Sinai in Pittsburgh gave the keystone address at the celebration.
