Temple Beth Israel in Sharon broke ground on its synagogue in 1949. The congregation gave the honor to its secretary and oldest member Abraham Freyman. Rabbi Solomon B. Freehof of Rodef Shalom Congregation in Pittsburgh was a guest speaker at the event.
