Duane Ross, the Astronaut Selection Office Manager at NASA, writes to Jay Apt informing him that he was not selected for the Astronaut Candidate Program. Dr. Apt was accepted into the Astronaut Candidate program in 1985 after applying to it in 1980 and 1984.
