Chevra Chesed Shel Emeth was founded in January 1906 to provide burial plots and cover funeral expenses for Jewish families who needed them. It later became known as the Hebrew Burial Association. These minutes cover the period from 1906 to 1923 and include the founding of the organization, its affiliation with the Federation of the Jewish Philanthropies of Pittsburgh, its expansion to a second burial ground, and the construction of its new chapel.
