The Beaver Valley United Jewish Community Center was designed with two sanctuaries, to accommodate multiple congregations. Approximately 20 Jewish families used the sanctuary for the High Holidays in 1960 and shortly thereafter formed a new congregation. They initially chose the name Reform Congregation of the United Jewish Community Center before switching to Beth Sholom Congregation.
