Rabbi Aaron Mordechai Ashinsky arrived in Pittsburgh in 1901 to become the rabbi of Congregation Beth Hamedrash Hagodol. In 1904, he also became the rabbi of Congregation Beth Jacob. He would continue to add congregational responsibilities throughout his life.
