About 12 years after its founding, the members of Beth Israel Center commissioned a Torah scroll and held a traditional dedication ceremony where a scribe completed the final verses in the presence of the congregation. In this correspondence with a member, President Jonathan Duker explains the origins of the project and describes the eventual ceremony to complete the scroll.
